Courteney Cox is the latest to partake in a TikTok dance trend Sunday, and, in doing so, tipped her cap her famous ‘80s role in a Bruce Springsteen video.

The TikTok trend is asking more mature users to show everyone how they danced to “Smalltown Boy,” the 1984 song from British group Bronski Beat.

The former “Friends” star, 59, put a spin on the trend with her own version, which she posted on Instagram, but she went a different route, using Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark.”

Cox re-enacted her dance with Springsteen, which you can see above.

Years ago, Cox looked back at when she was 20 years old and had only done “two days on a soap opera and a New York telephone ad,” as she recalled in 2017. For the video, she and two other actresses had filmed a whole little narrative around going to the concert, and out of the three, one of them was going to be picked out of the audience by Springsteen. Cox hoped it wouldn’t be her.
