Country star to play spring break beach shows at the Flora-Bama
Country artist Riley Green, who’s headlining his share of arena concerts this year (including ones in Huntsville and Tuscaloosa) will topline a two-day spring break beach concert at the Flora-Bama.
According to information released Monday by the Flora-Bama, the Alabama native’s Duckman Jam will take place on the beach at the famed state-line roadhouse on Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13. Green will headline both days; Friday’s bill features Tracy Lawrence and Jake Worthington, while Saturday’s features Drake White and Ella Langley. Other acts in the lineup include Davis Nix, the Ryan Dyer Duo, Jonboy Storey, the Tim Roberts Band, the Bruce Smelley Band, Mike Diamond, the Brandon Giles Band and the Dalton Bush Band.
Green has previously appeared at the Flora-Bama, including a similar spring show in 2020. At the time, he told AL.com that the venue held a special place in his heart because he had paid some dues there. He said one year early in his career he’d played there every day for about three weeks during spring break. “I think it took about 10 years off my life,” he said. (Green said the Flora-Bama also was where he was spotted by someone involved with casting the CMT reality show “Redneck Island,” which he and a partner later won.)
In spring 2020, Green was a rising star, who’d broken out with singles “There Was This Girl” and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.” His upward trajectory has continued: Later that year he was honored as the Academy of Country Music’s new male artist of the year. He released his second full studio album, “Ain’t My Last Rodeo,” in October 2023, and the single “Different ‘Round Here” became a Top 5 country hit.
A spokesperson for the Flora-Bama said the Duckman Jam will be a big two-day show using a special beach stage, but won’t be a full-on stadium-scale concert like the free show presented by Kenny Chesney in 2014.
Attendance is limited to patrons 18 and older. General admission tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 2, at www.rileygreenmusic.com and www.ticketmaster.com. According to the Flora-Bama, GA prices are $69.50 (early bird) and $89.50, with a VIP level at $149.50.
According to Green’s website, two higher VIP options will go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30. The Damn Good Day VIP Experience is $570 per person per day plus fees and taxes. The Ain’t My Last Rodeo VIP Experience is $370 per person per day, plus fees and taxes. Travel packages including tickets and accommodations at nearby condos also will be available starting Tuesday.
Green’s “Ain’t My Last Rodeo” tour will bring him to Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville on March 1. Prices range from $26 to over $150 plus fees; relatively few seats remain available, with reseller prices topping $300 in some cases.
The tour comes to Tuscaloosa’s Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater on April 18. Prices range from $32.50 to $172.50 plus fees.
