Country music star works at popular chicken chain for good cause

Country music star Luke Bryan gave customers of a Nashville Raising Cane’s a treat last week when they found the “American Idol” judge working behind the counter.

Bryan and owner Todd Graves embarked on a shift on April 8 for a good cause. The shift was to mark the start of a $1 million commitment the restaurant chain has made to The Brett Boyer Foundation — a charity Bryan and his wife, Caroline Bryan, co-founded in honor of their late niece, Sadie Brett Boyer.

“The Brett Boyer Foundation is a family charity and I’ve watched this Foundation grow over the years from support of people like Todd,” Bryan told Parade. “CHD doesn’t get talked about enough and the fact that Brett’s name lives on and is doing so much good for kids who need it helps us make sure no kid ever receives a diagnosis like Brett’s again. We know 36 kids alive today because of The Brett Boyer Foundation and we want to see that number grow to thousands in the future.

“We’re so thankful to Todd and Raising Cane’s for such a generous donation.”
