Country music star who performed at Trump inauguration sets Alabama concert
The singer of “Try That In A Small Town” will try to fill Birmingham’s big new concert venue.
Country singer Jason Aldean’s “Full Throttle Tour” will include a Sep. 26 stop at the Coca-Cola Amphitheater. Nate Smith, Raelyn and Dee Jay Silver are the support acts.
Tickets ($39.75 – $179.74 plus fees) go on sale 10 a.m. Friday via livenation.com. The amphitheater doesn’t have a box office yet, so tickets are only available online.
A Macon, Ga., native, Aldean performed at U.S. President Donald Trump’s inauguration Monday.
The singer’s hits include “Big Green Tractor,” “You Make It Easy,” “She’s Country,” “Fly over States” and “Got What I Got.” All told, he’s notched 28 number one singles, 18 billion streams and more than 20 million albums sold during his career, according to his website.
This is Coca-Cola Amphitheater’s first year open. Performers scheduled so far range from comedian Matt Rife to Americana star/Alabama native Jason Isbell to the rapper Nelly to classic-rocker Rod Stewart. The venue’s capacity is 9,380.
The Coca-Cola Amphitheater is owned by the BJCC, or Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex, and managed by Live Nation.
The $46 million venue is located downtown at 2350 15th Ave. N, on a 50-acre campus formerly home to Carraway Hospital.
