Country music star was ‘wild’ before this saved his life: Calmed ‘the demons’
Tim McGraw credits wife Faith Hill for saving his life.
The country music star opened up on the “Tracy Lawrence’s Road House” podcast about his “wild” life and the impact his marriage has had on it.
“I’ve been lucky,” he said. “I’ve been very fortunate. First off, meeting my wife saved my life. I was a wild man. I was having fun.
“She turned my life around. I couldn’t have found a better woman. Not only beautiful and talented, but just a good, good person. And then having our daughters,”
In addition, McGraw said his children – Gracie, 27, Maggie, 26, and Audrey, 23 were, “life-changing. They make you a better person, and they certainly calm the demons in you.”
The two stars have been married for 30 years.
“(Fatherhood) changed my perspective,” McGraw, who has been sober since 2008, said. “It changed the way I thought about what my future would be. It certainly took me out of myself.”
