Country music star suffers onstage medical event, hospitalized

Ronnie McDowell was taken was taken to a Pennsylvania hospital on Saturday night after an onstage medical event left him slurring his words.

According to WKRN, the country music artist, who reached No. 1 on the country charts with “Older Women,” was “three or four songs” into his set at Oley, Pennsylvania, Summer Solstice Music Festival when issues started.

McDowell, the “You’re Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation” singer, was “not making sense.” Per the report, McDowell said he was feeling poorly, and thought he might be having a stroke.

A Facebook post, which featured a photo of McDowell playing guitar, had a request for his followers and fans.

“Please keep Ronnie in your thoughts and prayers,” the post read. “The Family is updating on their personal platforms.”

McDowell’s son, Tyler Dean McDowell, posted to his Instagram Story.

“Thanks everyone, for the love,” the post read. “I’m heading to Pennsylvania now — I didn’t go with them on this run. Seeing these headlines on social media is what I’ve always dreaded. It’s like a nightmare. Scans are in the morning. If praying’s your thing, I’d appreciate it.”
