Country music star makes his fantasy football league losers sing to sold-out crowd
Country singer Luke Combs had two of his buddies pay up for finishing last in their fantasy football league.
The punishment was to join Combs on stage Saturday during one of his two sold-out shows at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.
According to Combs, due to a scoring mistake in the last week, there were two losers. So, they performed in front of 65,000 people.
Combs said he has been in the same fantasy football league with his high school best friends for 12 years.
“Who knows what fantasy football is in here?” Combs asked. “I’ve been in a fantasy football league with some of my best friends from high school for 12 years now, and last year, we decided that whoever lost was gonna have to come on stage and sing with me tonight.
“Lucky for me, there was a scoring issue in the last game, and my two best friends in the whole world both lost. And they both have to come out and sing in front of you guys tonight.
“These guys have been nervous about this for a long time.”
The friends sang to “Walking in Memphis” by Marc Cohn.
