Country music star donates money, food to hurricane relief efforts

Morgan Wallen is going above and beyond is hurricane relief.

The country music star’s foundation, the Morgan Wallen Foundation, has collected more than 100,000 meals in the aftermath of hurricanes Helene and Milton.

The Tennessee native initially donated $500,000 to the American Red Cross after Helene struck east Tennessee and western North Carolina, per Taste of Country. He has also launched exclusive merchandise, and the proceeds are being donated to relief efforts.

Earlier this month, per the Tennessean, his foundation hosted the Help After Helene food drive to aid Second Harvest of East Tennessee. Donations totaled 143,423 pounds of food, which filled six trucks, per a Music Row report.

Wallen has two shows on his “One Night at a Time” tour in Charlotte, N.C., and has announced a canned food drive at Bank of America Stadium both nights.

Residents of Florida’s Gulf Coast are digging out from mountains of sand after Hurricanes Helene and Milton clobbered them with back-to-back hits in less than two weeks. Storm surge as high as 10 feet swept sand into communities.
