Country music legend hospitalized in November now cleared to perform

Mark Chesnutt is cleared to return to perform after the country music legend cancelled two shows in November, according to The Courier News.

It was announced Chesnutt will perform in Bowling Green on Sept. 6, per WBKO.

Chesnutt cancelled two shows in November.

“Mark Chesnutt is currently undergoing a medical evaluation after being admitted to a local hospital on Wednesday, November 1st,” the post read.. “Mark and Tracy appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers, and support. Mark is looking forward to seeing everyone soon.”

Chesnutt, 60, has had 20 top-10 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Eight of those 20 songs — “Brother Jukebox,” “It Sure Is Monday,” “I’ll Think of Something,” “I Just Wanted You to Know,” “Gonna Get a Life,” “Almost Goodbye,” “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” and “It’s a Little Too Late,” all hit number-one on the charts.

The Beaumont, Texas native, fits into the “neo-traditionalist country” category, which places a strong emphasis on traditional county-music vocal stylings, an instrumental background and a honky-tonk influence, per a bio.
