Country music icon set to play final show of career
Alan Jackson’s farewell tour is coming to an end, and there are only two more shows left before the country music legend retires from touring.
He is scheduled for the final performances of his “Last Call: One More for the Road” tour on April 26 in Tampa, then wrap up the tour on May 17 in Milwaukee.
In June, Jackson, 66, explained on social media why he was stepping away from the stage.
“I’ve been touring for over 30 years, you know, played everywhere in the country and parts of the world,” Jackson posted on X. “Have had a wonderful career, and getting into my twilight years, and all my daughters are grown, and I got one grandchild and one on the way. Enjoy spending more time at home, and don’t want to be away like I had to be in my younger days, and I don’t tour as much now as I did 10 years ago. But I think it’s getting time to start thinking about hanging it up full-time.”
He will also make an appearance at the Two Step Inn 2025 festival in Texas on April 5.
Alan’s farewell tour came as he continued to live with Charcot-Marie-Tooth, a chronic neuropathy condition.
