Costco is expanding its footprint.

USA TODAY reports the wholesale chain store plans to open seven new stores in August. Four of the locations will be in the United States. Two will be in Canada and one location will be in Mexico.

Costco aims to open 25-30 new locations each year, typically with half of them in the U.S. and the other half in international markets, chief financial officer Gary Millerchip said in March.

Here is where Costco is opening next month, according to its “Coming Soon” page.

• The Villages, Florida (opening Aug. 6)
• North Guadalajara, Mexico (opening Aug. 7)
• Richland, Washington (opening Aug. 8)
• Allen, Texas (opening date TBA)
• East Newmarket, Ontario, Canada (TBA)
• Spring Valley, Nevada (TBA)

This week, Costco announced a new location in Irondale, its sixth in Alabama. A timetable for construction on that property has not been announced.

Costco rolls out new food court change

This month, rolled out new drink selections as it officially transitioned from Pepsi products to Coca-Cola.

Costco confirmed at the beginning of the year it was switching to Coke after offering Pepsi products as its drink choice for more than a decade. At the time, Costco didn’t provide a timeline for the changeover, other than CEO Ron Vachris saying it would happen “this summer.”
