Corbeau Wine Bar opens in Trussville with 48-bottle self-service wine bar
After months of anticipation, Corbeau Wine Bar opened its doors to the public earlier this month in the Trussville Entertainment District.
The long-awaited wine bar’s pièce de résistance: a self-serve wine station with 48 wines.
A wall of taps dispenses servings of wine. Using a glass from the shelves underneath the wine bar, guests can choose a wine, use the bar’s touchscreen to select the amount they’d like to drink ( the bar offers 1, 2.5, or 5-ounce pours), scan a debit or credit card, and then hold the glass under a spout that dispenses the wine.
The automated pay station keeps track of the tab. Corbeau also offers wine by the glass, self-serve beers, and a selection of cocktails, as well as a full retail shop.
Owned by the Martin family— sisters Mary and Elizabeth Martin, and their husbands, brothers John and Mark Martin— as well as Dean Maio, Corbeau has already opened to rave reviews.
“To see the range of old world and new world wines that we have has taken-aback some of our customer base,” Maio told the Trussville Tribune. “We’ve actually enjoyed seeing someone have a great experience and then walk away with a great bottle of wine.”
Corbeau also boasts a menu of light fare, including charcuterie and a selection of flatbreads. [TAKE A LOOK AT THE MENU HERE]
