Cookie, the escaped Capuchin monkey in Alabama, is back home

We can start your week off with some good news.

Cookie, the yellow pant-wearing White Faced Capuchin monkey, is back home after going on the run last week in Pinson in Jefferson County.

Cookie’s owner Andrew Foster shared the news on social media.

Cookie, 4, went missing last Wednesday after she walked out the front door while her owner was getting ready to change her clothes. At the time of her escape, Cookie was wearing yellow pants and dragging a leash.

The story of the missing monkey quickly spread on social media with people saying they had spotted the small monkey that’s fond of Tic Tacs in the Pinson area.

The details of finding Cookie aren’t known but Foster confirmed online she’d been found.

“Cookie is back home and is OK. My gratitude to all those who came to her aid,” Foster wrote. “Thank y’all.”
