Construction begins on Hoover’s new upscale office building
Construction has begun on what developers say is the first notable speculative office building in years for the Hoover area.
A 20,000-square-foot structure is being built in the International Park development off Acton Road.
Tenants may lease or buy portions, or purchase the entire building, according to Shannon Waltchack Broker Michael Murray.
“With its prime location and sophisticated design plans, this project will elevate the standard for office environments in the area,” Murray said.
Byrom Building has designed the structure, which is adjacent to another recent project, the headquarters for the Greater Birmingham Homebuilders Association.
Other nearby businesses include McGriff Seibels & Williams, Inc. Doster Construction, Command Alkon and CGI Technologies & Solutions.
According to the website, the building is geared toward businesses seeking upscale, customized spaces, with high-end finishes and flexible layouts. Occupants will have the opportunity to customize their spaces. The parking lot offers 80 spaces.
The site also has easy access to Interstates 65 and 459, U.S. 280 and U.S. 31.
Father and son team Colt and Marty Byrom said they are anxious to get started on construction.
“We can’t wait to see it come to life and contribute to the success of those who will call it home,” said Colt.
