Comedian hospitalized for allergic reaction to ice cream

Jeff Ross spent the night in the emergency room, then took to social media after it looked like he got punched in the mouth.

No, the “Roastmaster” didn’t upset his latest victim. He simply tried a new flavor of ice cream while on tour.

The comedian, 59, shared photos on Instagram of himself sitting in a hospital bed.

Ross and his band were in Mill Valley, Calif., celebrating after a performance of his one-man show when his face started to swell up.

Ross said the ice cream was good, but his lips quickly “blew up” and he ended up spending the night in the emergency room.

“It was my first allergic reaction ever,” he posted. “I guess that’s pretty remarkable considering I’m constantly shoving whatever food is in front of me into my face.”

He gave fans an opportunity to flip the script.

“ROAST ME. TONIGHT’S SHOW NEAR SAN FRANCISCO MUST GO ON!” he began his post.

“Had such a fun opening night performance of @takeabananafortheride up here in Mill Valley, California @throckmortontheatre. Afterwards, me and the band celebrated with some burrata ice cream at a restaurant down the street courtesy of the nice owner. It was delicious. Seriously yummy.”
