Comedian Deon Cole to perform in Birmingham: How to get tickets
Comedian Deon Cole will perform in Alabama when his “My New Normal Tour” rolls through this fall, Red Mountain Entertainment announced this week.
Cole will headline at the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham on Friday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m.
Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster Friday, Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. Prices range from $35.50 to $99.50.
The Chicago native is best known for his various TV roles on shows like “Black-ish” and “Grown-ish.” For his work on “Black-ish,” Cole won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series three times in a row at the 2020, 2021 2022 NAACP Image Awards.
Cole has a new drama series on BET, called “Average Joe,” and an upcoming movie, the musical adaptation of “The Color Purple.”
He previously appeared in the Netflix original film “The Harder They Fall” co-starring Idris Elba and Regina King. He also appeared in Kenya Barris’ film “You People” co-starring Eddie Murphy.
Other credits include the show “Angie Tribeca” and the Ice Cube film series “Barbershop.”
Cole was also a writer and performer on Conan O’Brien’s late night talk shows, for which he was nominated for two Emmys and three Writers Guild of America Awards.
He has a couple of standup specials that debuted on Netflix called, “Charleen’s Boy”, “Cole Hearted”, and a documentary “Workin’ It Out”. In 2016 Cole released a one hour special, “Deon Cole: Cole Blooded Seminar”.
