College students can get an extended 6-month Amazon Prime free trial

Amazon Prime has become an essential for most households, however, Amazon Prime Student comes with its own unique benefits for students, including a cheaper membership fee and extended free trial.

A typical Amazon Prime membership starts out with a complimentary 30-day free trial, however, students (or anyone from the ages 18-24) are given a 6-month free trial (practically an entire semester) to test out the membership before committing to a paid subscription.

After the trial period ends, regular Amazon Prime costs $139 a year. However, Amazon Prime Student costs about $7 a month after the free trial ends and includes an array of more benefits.

Some of the benefits of a Prime Student membership include a Linkedin Premium subscription for free, one free month of 24/7 homework help, free food delivery with Grub Hub and 10% off hotels and flights.

As mental health in colleges is also being addressed across the country, Prime Students can get a Calm Membership free for the first three months and then for $8.99 a year rather than the normal $69.99.

Of course, getting textbooks at a discount is a great benefit as well.
