We’ve reached the greatest week of the college football season, with intrastate games taking place all across the country.

Fans in some states like South Carolina, Tennessee and North Carolina can agree that disappointing seasons can be made a little better by at least winning the state championship. In states like Washington, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Kentucky and Alabama there are opportunities for underdogs to be spoilers to teams that still have national championship dreams.

There’s even a national championship elimination game this weekend, with Ohio State and Michigan looking to spoil the perfect season of their most hated rivals.

No matter the stakes, the Iron Bowl is always the most emotionally charged game of the college football season. The fact that this year’s game is in Auburn leads to at least some intrigue.
