Best Week 11 College Football games and odds: No. 2 Michigan (-4.5) vs. No. 9 Penn State

Finally, Michigan has a matchup worth talking about.

The Wolverines have feasted on lesser teams this season en route to a 9-0 record. Michigan has yet to face a ranked opponent and is scoring 40 points per game while allowing under a touchdown.

J.J. McCarthy and Blake Corum are the catalysts of Big Blue’s offense, totaling 2,783 yards and 34 touchdowns.

Penn State must beat Michigan to keep its Big Ten Championship and CFP dreams intact. The Nittany Lions’ only blemish is a road loss to Ohio State, but home-field advantage will be pivotal for Penn State, as Beaver Stadium seats over 106,000 fans and is one of the loudest environments in college football.

James Franklin has typically fallen short in these spots, as he’s 4-15 vs. Michigan and Ohio State in his 10 seasons as Penn State’s head coach.

Best Week 11 College Football games and odds: No. 10 Ole Miss vs. No. 1 Georgia (-10.5)

Georgia and Kirby Smart have kept on trucking without Brock Bowers. The Bulldogs were in a tight one vs. Missouri in Week 10 until the defense saved the day with two late-game interceptions that sealed a 30-21 win.

Carson Beck and Daijun Edwards have stepped up with Bowers sidelined, tallying 569 yards and 173 yards, respectively, in the last two games. The victory over Mizzou made the Bulldogs even more comfortable in the SEC East standings, as Georgia is 6-0 vs. the SEC, while Missouri and Tennessee are tied for second with two conference losses each.

With its only loss coming against Alabama, Ole Miss still has a shot at representing the SEC West in the conference championship. But the Rebels face long odds to leave Sanford Stadium with a victory, considering Georgia’s last home loss came in 2019.

Best Week 11 College Football games and odds: No. 6 Oregon (-14.5) vs. USC

USC’s season has spiraled mightily since mid-October, with three defeats in its last four games. The Trojans’ 34 points allowed per game is second-worst in the Pac-12, resulting in the firing of defensive coordinator Alex Grinch.

Oregon took its only loss in stride, winning three straight since falling short vs. Washington. One of those victories came over Utah at Rice-Eccles Stadium, ending the Utes’ 18-game home win streak.

The Ducks trail undefeated Washington in the conference standings but have overtaken the Huskies in the Pac-12 Championship odds board. Oregon leads the nation in points per game and will feast on USC’s subpar defense while Caleb Williams does all he can to spoil the Ducks’ postseason chances.

Best Week 11 College Football games and odds: Miami vs. No. 4 Florida State (-14)

The Miami vs. Florida State rivalry was one of the most fierce in college football back in the day, and the matchup could return to its former glory with both programs trending in the right direction.

Florida State is 9-0 on the year, including impressive wins over LSU, Clemson, and Duke. The Seminoles played in the first College Football Playoff in 2015 and are in great shape to make a return.

Miami was rolling until a boneheaded coaching decision cost the Hurricanes a win. Miami led Georgia Tech by three with 33 seconds remaining in Week 6, and instead of taking a knee to ice the clock, the Hurricanes ran the ball and fumbled, allowing Georgia Tech to go 74 yards in four plays for a game-winning touchdown.

Miami has lost two additional games since that unthinkable blunder but will certainly be motivated to throw a wrench into Florida State’s perfect season.

Best Week 11 College Football games and odds: No. 13 Utah vs. No. 5 Washington (-9.5)

Washington earned arguably the most impressive win of the year when it topped Oregon but hasn’t looked the same since the victory. In the following weeks, the Huskies beat Arizona State 15-7 and took down Stanford 42-33.

Washington finally looked like its usual self in a 52-42 Week 10 triumph over USC and must be on its A game in the next two weeks against Utah and Oregon State. Utah’s offense started the year slowly and has come along in the second half of the season.

The Utes bounced back from a crushing loss to Oregon with a convincing 55-3 win over Arizona State. Washington must keep the pedal to the metal to close the regular season for an opportunity to make the College Football Playoff, and the Utes are sure to give the Huskies a tight game.
