Cody Jinks books Tuscaloosa show: How to get tickets
Outlaw country music star Cody Jinks just booked a show at the newly named Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa, Red Mountain Entertainment announced Friday.
The artist from Haltom City, Texas, will bring the “Change the Game Tour” to town Friday, Sept. 20, 2024.
The show, which begins at 7 p.m., will also feature special guests The Cadillac Three and Calder Allen.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 8 at noon. You can purchase via Ticketmaster or the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater box office.
The Alabama football schedule became somewhat clearer this week, but the show falls on the Friday before a date whose game is yet to be determined for the Crimson Tide. They play at Wisconsin the previous Saturday (Sept. 14) and host Georgia the following week (Sept. 28).
Jinks is a rising outlaw country music singer and songwriter whose debut album “I’m Not the Devil” reached number four on the Billboard Country Albums chart. His other albums “Lifers,” “After the Fire” and “The Wanting” also performed well.
He’s covered outlaw country predecessors like Merle Haggard, his song “The Way I Am,” while also delving into the rock arena with a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here.” His own songs include “Ain’t a Train,” “Think Like You Think,” “William and Wanda,” “Same Kind of Crazy as Me” and “Which One I Feed.”
Jinks’ latest studio album “Mercy” released in November 2021.
Long known as Tuscaloosa Amphitheater since it opened in 2011, the venue changed its name to Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in November.
Also on the 2024 slate are Riley Green (April 18) and Travis Tritt (April 26).
