Clay-Chalkville’s Aaron Frye threw a pair of touchdowns in each half and his defense was downright nasty as the Class 6A third-ranked Cougars never let up in a 62-7 victory over Class 5A No. 4 Ramsay in Thursday’s matchup at Birmingham’s Legion Field.

“He was terrific and played really well,” Clay-Chalkville coach Stuart Floyd said. “He took care of the ball and had a lot of big third-down conversions for us. He’s going to be the next one and it’s my job to put him in those good situations. Super kid, super smart and everybody is starting to play better around him.”
