Hoover’s offense was effective all night while the defense pitched a second-half shutout as the Bucs took down Fairhope 35-10 in Thursday’s first round playoff action at the Hoover Met.

Class 7A second-ranked Hoover (9-2) improved to 108-26 in the playoffs and advanced beyond the first round for the 25th consecutive season.
