Brayden Huebner passed for 3 touchdowns as Class 1A No. 1 Leroy opened the season with a 26-13 win over rival Clarke County.

Huebner was 9-of-11 overall for 226 yards. He also rushed 14 times for 74 yards, had three tackles on defense and returned a punt 44 yards.

Taylor Crumedy caught six passes for 161 yards and 2 TDs. Jaquan Scott caught two passes for 55 yards and a score. Ray Ray Phillips added an 8-yard TD run.

Timbo Parnell (10.5 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 sack) and Sawyer Sullivan (8.5 tackles) led the defense.

The Bears (1-0) host McIntosh next Friday. Clarke County (0-2) travels to Washington County.
