Christmas Tree Shops closing all stores; list of locations

Christmas Tree Shops will liquidate and shut down all locations if it fails to find a buyer for the struggling retailer.

In a court filing last week, Christmas Tree Shops said it will shutter its remaining 70 stores after defaulting on a $45 million loan. The 53-year-old Massachusetts-based chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May. Following the bankruptcy, the chain rebranded itself as “CTS” and updated it logo. It was no longer able to carry out its bankruptcy plan, however, due to a lack of funds.
