Child among victims in Alabama double homicide; suspects sought in Conecuh County
Alabama authorities are asking for the public’s help finding a vehicle believed related to a double homicide that left a 10-year-old child and a 31-year-old Evergreen resident dead in Conecuh County.
The suspects are believed to be traveling in a white 2009 GMC Yukon with possible damage to the driver side rear windows, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation said Saturday.
“Individuals in the vehicle are believed to be armed and extremely dangerous,” ALEA said. “If seen, do not approach or attempt to contact.”
The shooting was reported late Friday night on Boone Court in the Johnsonville community, according to the Conecuh County Coroner’s Office.
The adult victim has been identified as Jatonio Williams. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The child was taken to a local hospital by first responders and later died from his injuries, according to the coroner’s office. The child’s name has not been released.
Anyone who has information on the double homicide or sees the suspects’ vehicle is asked to immediately notify the Conecuh County Sheriff’s Office at 251-578-1260 or the ALEA SBI Crime Hotline at 1-800-392-8011.
