Chick-fil-A removing item from its menu
Goodbye, Chick-fil-A side salad.
Just after the mega-popular chicken chain announced it was rolling out a cauliflower sandwich, Chick-fil-A is making another menu change – it’s getting rid of the side salad.
The dish features a fresh bed of mixed greens topped with shredded Monterey Jack, cheddar, red bell peppers and grape tomatoes. Its last day on the menu will be April 3, according to a printout of a flier from a restaurant in Tifton, Georgia and reported by Today Show.
“We are spring cleaning here at Chick-fil-A and taking this opportunity to refresh our menu,” reads a caption on a post from Tipton, along with an image of the flier titled “A Fond Farewell.”

It appears the change will be taking place at restaurants across the country.
“Serving guests is at the heart of all we do at Chick-fil-A,” a Chick-fil-A representative for Chick-fil-A, Inc. told TODAY.com. “In order for our Restaurant Team Members to continue to deliver quality food and signature hospitality, at times we have to make difficult decisions to help simplify our menu. Starting April 3, the Chick-fil-A Side Salad will no longer be offered in our U.S. restaurants.”
Chick-fil-A said it will increase the size of its Kale Crunch Side to a large to provide an alternative for salad lovers.
