Chick-fil-A now says it’s not discontinuing popular menu item

Salad lovers can breathe a sigh of relief.

Chick-fil-A announced it is reversing course on a previous decision to discontinue its popular side salad. The decision comes after customer feedback indicated people wanted to keep the side salad as an option.

“In an effort to simplify and refresh our menu, we made the difficult decision to remove the Side Salad from our menus earlier this month,” the company said in a press release. “However, based on feedback, we’ve chosen to continue serving the Side Salad at participating restaurant locations. We are thrilled that customers can continue enjoying this menu item.”

The dish features a fresh bed of mixed greens topped with shredded Monterey Jack, cheddar, red bell peppers and grape tomatoes.

Last week, Chick-fil-A announced guests can once again enjoy a Watermelon Mint Lemonade at participating restaurants nationwide. There are three new versions to try: Watermelon Mint Sunjoy, Watermelon Mint Frosted Lemonade and Watermelon Mint Iced Tea.
