Chase announces 6 new Birmingham area locations, first 2 in Huntsville, Madison
Chase plans to open six branches in the greater Birmingham area and its first in the Huntsville market later this year.
The bank, which is the consumer and commercial banking business of JPMorgan Chase, has more than 4,700 branches in 48 states and the District of Columbia. Last June, it opened its first branch in Birmingham at 425 20th St., and has branches in Auburn and Tuscaloosa.
Jennifer DiSalvo, Chase market director for Alabama and Mississippi, said the downtown Birmingham branch has been among the top performing new branches in the country since it opened.
“The response from customers has been overwhelmingly positive and we’re thrilled to be able to expand our local footprint to offer more convenience to our neighbors in Homewood, Hoover, and the City of Birmingham,” DiSalvo said.
The new Birmingham area branch locations will be:
- 333 Green Springs Hwy., Homewood.
- 1021 Marble Ter., Hoover.
- 3748 Lorna Rd., Hoover.
- 2401 Crossplex Blvd., Birmingham.
- 4651 U.S. 280, Birmingham.
The first branches set to open in the Huntsville market:
- 6275 University Dr., Huntsville.
- 8160 Highway 72, Madison.
The new branches will have casual booths, meeting pods, an open living room and a digital access bar. They will also offer Chase private client services. Each branch will be staffed with 8 to 10 local bankers, with entry-level employees paid no less than $20 per hour and receiving the firm’s full benefits package, including health care coverage and retirement savings.
According to the company, JPMorgan Chase has had a presence in Birmingham since 2012 through its commercial banking office, with more than 19,000 business customers and more than 400,000 consumer customers statewide through its credit card, home lending, auto finance and other businesses.
