Charles Woodson sounds off with expletive on Michigan scandal: âEverybodyâs hands are dirtyâ
Before Pete Thamel reported Jim Harbaugh would not coach Michigan against Penn State on Saturday, former Michigan star Charles Woodson made his feelings known on “Big Noon Kickoff.”
“Am I mad?” he asked. “I’m only mad because I think the whole thing is bullshit.”
The former defensive back said none of the implications actually implicate Harbaugh. They only implicate Connon Stalions, he said.
“In my humble opinion, I do not believe that Harbaugh knew what this young man was doing,” he said.
While he said he he doesn’t know for sure whether somebody on the Michigan staff knew what was going on, either can the NCAA, Woodson contends.
A day earlier, Woodson joined “The Pat McAfee” to discuss the Michigan scandal, saying all hands are dirty.
Michigan has alleged other Big Ten teams of wrongdoing.
“It don’t matter what part you played in it, if you’re stealing, you’re stealing,” Woodson said. “And so that means if we’re gonna have some type of sanctions put on Harbaugh, than there’s got to be sanctions on other coaches as well. Does Harbaugh get more because he was more a part of the plot? Maybe so. But everybody’s hands are dirty in this situation.
On Saturday, Thamel told “College GameDay” Harbaugh will not get a hearing for a temporary restraining order prior to kickoff. The hearing is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17.
