Chargers select KeAndre Lambert-Smith at No. 158 in fifth round of 2025 NFL Draft

The second Auburn football player is off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith was selected in the fifth round by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 158th pick.

Smith spent four seasons at Penn State before transferring to Auburn. In his one season on the Plains, Lambert-Smith finished with 981 receiving yards, ranking third in the SEC. He also finished tied for second in the conference in receiving touchdowns with eight.

Lambert-Smith kicked off the second group of wide receivers with 4.38 seconds in both of his 40-yard dash attempts at the NFL combine.

“So, I just feel like it’s all allowed my confidence to be where it should’ve been, and I’m not doing nothing spectacular,” Lambert-Smith said last November. “I feel like this is the player I’ve always been.”

With Lambert-Smith gone, Auburn will have a loaded wide receiver’s room headlined by returning stars Cam Coleman and Malcom Simmons. Transfer additions Eric Singleton and Horatio Fields will be filling in the veteran role Lambert-Smith was last season.
