The Alabama High School Athletic Association softball and baseball finals are underway at Oxford’s Choccolocco Park and Jacksonville State University’s Jim Case Stadium.

With the start of the five-day event we are assured of two things: Rain and excellent performances from student-athletes from across the state. The start of Monday’s softball action was delayed for about three hours, but fingers crossed that the tournaments can get on a schedule and roll on through Friday. We definitely had some superb work from the players on the multiple fields.
