An early Sunday morning melee at a Waffle House got the attention of hundreds of thousands on social media over the weekend.

The fight, identified as taking place at a Waffle House in Oxford, Miss., was recorded in a video seen by more than 250,000 by Monday morning.

In the one-minute clip, customers and even employees recorded the fight on their phones, as what appears to be a security guard attempted to restore order.

Christmas decorations and one metal chair bore the brunt of the fracas that apparently took place just before 5 a.m. It is unclear what started the fight.

Attempts to reach Oxford police for details were not immediately successful.
