Chad Baker-Mazara exits Auburn’s March Madness game vs. Creighton with injury
Auburn starting wing Chad Baker-Mazara left the Tigers’ second-round NCAA tournament against Creighton with an apparent injury during the second half.
It happened after Baker-Mazara took a hard fall following a play at the rim. He got up and made both of the ensuing free throws but fell back down after running down the court.
He was immediately replaced by freshman wing Jahki Howard as he walked gingerly off the floor. Baker-Mazara went immediately to the locker room following his exit from the game.
Baker-Mazara later returned to the bench with an ice pack on his right hip. The TBS broadcast called the injury a right hip bruise.
He returned to the game with 4:12 remaining, but was only in the game for a minute and 15 seconds before being substituted back out.
