For the last decade local nonprofit Central Six AlabamaWorks! has been on a mission to improve the workforce of the Birmingham metro area and ensure that that workforce has an array of high-quality jobs to choose from according to their website.

Earlier this year the organization brought on Kristen Holder as their newest executive director and she has already issued a call to action for local job seekers and business leaders to join Central Six as they work towards their goal.

“It’s with that collective voice that we can really have an impact on improving our economic diversity and our economic mobility as a region,” Holder said.

So, for anyone who might be unfamiliar with Central Six, what do you guys do?
