Central-Phenix City used an attacking full-court press defense to force Enterprise into 30 turnovers on the way to a 64-54 win in an AHSAA Girls Class 7A Central Regional semifinal game at Alabama State University’s Dunn-Oliver Acadome on Friday.

“We are a defensive team because of our size and youth,” said Central coach Rodgette WIlliams after her team improved to 21-5. “The game plan was to attack them defensively and keep the ball out of the hand of No. 50 (Sarah Amos). I think we did a good job by holding her to 17 points.”
