Livable wages and better benefits are the key to maintaining a robust workforce in central Alabama for years to come, according to Marrianne Hayward, president of the Central Alabama Labor Federation (CALF).

Outside of their continued pursuit of workers’ rights, Hayward said CALF’s biggest priority this year is volunteer work to improve central Alabama communities.
