On Sunday at 4:36 a.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Monday 7 p.m. until Tuesday 7 a.m. for Tallapoosa, Autauga, Lowndes, Elmore and Montgomery counties.
The weather service adds, “Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Trees could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” describes the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
