The Celtics are heading into game 5 with a 3-1 series lead, as they won the first three games against Dallas. However, the Mavericks stormed back with a 38 point victory on Friday night to keep their championship hopes alive.

The two players combined to score 25 points on Friday night, which is underwhelming because each player is averaging 24 points per game this postseason. Dallas’s star players performed well last game to extend the series, as Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined to score 50 points. Although, Doncic shot terribly from beyond the arc. He finished the game 0-8 from three point range, making him 9-36 from distance in the series. So, he will have to find his long range shot during game 5 tonight.

Irving also struggled from distance, shooting 1-6 from beyond the arc. However, he still shot better than 50% from the field, making his night relatively efficient.

Dallas also had their role players step up during Friday night’s victory, as rookie Dereck Lively II recorded a double-double by ending the matchup with 11 points and 12 rebounds. In order for Dallas to keep their season alive, Lively will have to continue playing at this level in game 5.
