Cava plans to open 60 new restaurants this year
Cava, the Mediterranean-inspired fast casual chain, plans to continue expanding this year.
USA TODAY reports the company plans to open over 60 new restaurants in 2025 with the goal of expanding to 1,000 locations by 2032. According to USA TODAY, CAVA had locations in 26 states and the District of Columbia, and operated 367 restaurants as of the end of 2024.
In March, CAVA debuted its first restaurant in Indiana. The 3,000-square-foot location has a 40-seat dining room, digital order pick-up and delivery. CAVA also plans to open a second Indianapolis location later this year.
CAVA opened its first Alabama location in Montgomery in 2022.
Founded in Rockville, Md., Cava has nearly 200 restaurants around the country, as well as a line of chef-crafted dips and spreads sold in more than 250 Whole Foods locations and specialty grocery stores. In 2018, Cava bought Zoe’s Kitchen. At the time, QSR Magazine reported the acquisition was valued at about $300 million.
