‘Call your mom every day’ and more advice for Alabama high school graduates
It’s a big week for high school seniors across the state set to walk across that graduation stage in their caps and gowns to get those hard-earned diplomas.
After all, graduating from high school is a major milestone in life, and with that in mind, we wanted to offer Alabama seniors, regardless of what their next steps in life are, a little advice.
To do so, we asked the followers on This is Alabama’s Facebook page what advice they’d give to high school students graduating this month, and as usual, they came through. The responses ranged from practical, like open a savings account, to more general, like don’t stress the detours, and even some that were Alabama-specific, like don’t let the Iron Bowl choose where you get your education.
You can read some of the advice shared below, and you can read all of the responses on the This is Alabama’s Facebook page.
