Brothers found shot to death in Dothan home died in murder-suicide, police say

The deaths of two brothers in their Dothan home have been ruled a murder-suicide, police officials announced Tuesday.

Just before 8 a.m. Friday, Dothan police were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of South Park Avenue.

Lt. Scott Owens said a family member went to the house to check on one of the residents. She found him dead and called 911.

Police arrived and found an additional man also dead in the home.

Both had sustained gunshot wounds.

Owens identified the men as Zatorrion O’Neil Facion, 23, and Omarion Jackson, 20.

The brothers were last heard from on Thursday.

Owens on Tuesday said autopsy findings and ballistics reports led police to believe Jackson killed Facion after some type of altercation.

Facion was found dead in his bed from multiple gunshot wounds.

Jackson was found on the floor of his own bedroom with a single gunshot wound to the head. A handgun was near his body, Owens said.

According to evidence collected at the scene, Jackson fired multiple rounds at Facion, striking him several times.

After shooting Facion, Jackson went to his bedroom and took his own life.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they mourn the loss of their loved ones,’’ Owens said.

Family and friends will be holding two candlelight vigils for the brothers later this week.

Investigators continue to follow up on leads on what may have led to the shooting.
