Brawl breaks out at Hoover Buffalo Wild Wings after Auburn’s Final Four loss to Florida
A large fight erupted inside a popular Hoover restaurant following Auburn’s loss Final Four loss to Florida.
The game ended about 7:30 p.m. CST Saturday, and within 15 minutes, Hoover police were dispatched to Buffalo Wild Wings on John Hawkins Parkway after the brawl broke out.
A video shared to Facebook, which by 9:30 p.m. had been viewed more than 300,000 times with nearly 2,000 shares, showed punches thrown in the middle of the restaurant, and several people on the ground.
Glass could be heard shattering.
Police Capt. Keith Czeskleba said officers responded to the restaurant at 7:45 p.m.
He said police had not confirmed the fight stemmed from the Tigers’ loss.
Czeskleba said no injuries were reported and no arrests made.
Efforts to reach restaurant officials for comment were unsuccessful.
The Tigers lost to Florida 79-73 in Saturday’s national semifinal game, finishing the season 32-6, one game short of the national championship.
