Body of missing Alabama man found in Kentucky
The body of an Alabama man missing since April 7 was found this weekend in Kentucky.
Searchers found the body of Roy Jackson, 83, of Florence, on Saturday in underbrush near Trusty Cemetery in Dawson Springs, Ky.
According to WPKY, Caldwell County Sheriff Don Weedman said Jackson’s remains were found a distance away from where his vehicle was located abandoned on Monday.
Authorities have requested an autopsy to determine the cause of death. No foul play is suspected.
Jackson reportedly left his home on April 7 and was listed as a missing person with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department.
A preliminary search of the nearby area after the vehicle was discovered last week turned up nothing.
The body was discovered with the use of K-9 units, horses, drones, watercraft, and ground search teams.
