Body found on Interstate 59/20 identified as 37-year-old Birmingham man
Authorities have released the name of a man found dead on Interstate 59/20 in Birmingham last month.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Prince Ladale Carter. He was 37 and lived in Birmingham.
The discovery was made shortly before 7 a.m. Friday, April 21, near the Ensley Avenue exit. Carter’s body was just feet off the travel lanes.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced him dead on the scene.
His cause of death has not yet been confirmed pending further testing, but authorities said foul play was not involved, nor was he struck by a vehicle.
