Body found in north Alabama is person reported missing in Blount County earlier this year: Coroner

A body belonging to a person reported missing earlier this year in Blount County was found Tuesday in north Alabama, officials said.

Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn and investigators responded to Highway 55 in the Cole Spring area of Morgan County on a report of a body found.

Chunn said the body that was discovered “had been reported missing in Blount County earlier this year. Family is aware.”

Foul play is not suspected in the death, Chunn said.
