The body of a man was found floating in Lake Guntersville Friday morning.

The Marshall County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the area of the 1900 block of Sunset Drive Friday at about 11 a.m.

A person called dispatchers to report seeing the body of a middle-aged Black man “who is not local to the area.”

Coroner Cody Nugent said there is currently no suspicion of foul play.

Guntersville police is investigating the incident.

Guntersville Fire assisted in the recovery.
