Body ‘burned beyond recognition’ in fiery Limestone County crash
One person was killed in a Limestone County crash early Thursday morning.
Around 1:30 a.m., a pickup truck burst into flames after rear-ending an 18-wheeler on I-65 northbound in the area of the 355-mile marker, according to County Coroner Mike West.
West said the driver was “burned beyond recognition” and has been taken to the forensics department for an autopsy.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the accident and said they cannot release further details at this time.
