BJ’s new Alabama warehouse club one of 5 being built across U.S.
BJ’s Wholesale Club – its first in Alabama – is one of five being built across the U.S., expanding the Massachusetts-based retailers footprint to 20 states.
BJs is opening the Alabama location in Town Madison north of Graphics Drive and east of Wall Triana Highway near Duluth Trading Company in Madison County. Other clubs are opening in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Johnson City, New York, Lewis Center, Ohio, and North Jacksonville, Florida.
“We are always striving to bring our BJ’s membership model to new markets and even more smart-saving families,” said Bill Werner, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Development, BJ’s Wholesale Club said in a press release. “We have seen tremendous success with our newest openings. Our expansion into Tennessee and Alabama shortly thereafter is a great example of our efforts to meet the demand for the value, convenience, and assortment that BJ’s has to offer its growing member base.”
All of the new locations will include a BJ’s gas station, along with other warehouse offerings such as fresh foods and produce, full-service deli, pet supplies, tech, toys and more. BJ’s will also accept manufacturers’ coupons, something not done by most warehouse clubs.
Each new BJ’s Wholesale Club location is expected to create approximately 150 jobs. You can go here to learn more about available positions.
An opening date has not been announced.
