BJCCA CEO: ‘City Walk is more than just colored lights’

In the year and a half since its opening City Walk BHAM has hosted a variety of recreational and educational events for downtown Birmingham visitors ranging from pickleball tournaments to a mobile healthy eating market.

In 2024, City Walk will continue with its regular programming but is also bringing an array of new options on board according to Tad Snider, executive director and CEO of the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center Authority. The authority partners with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) to oversee City Walk.

In his Q&A with the Lede this week, Snider discussed future plans for City Walk and detailed how 2023 guided their decisions for 2024.
