Birmingham’s The Sanders Trust completes $33 million Arizona hospital project
Birmingham’s The Sanders Trust has completed a $33 million Arizona hospital project.
The two-story, 56,000-square-foot Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital – Gilbert is located in Gilbert, Ariz., in the southeast portion of the Phoenix metro area. The facility features 40 beds with private rooms.
The hospital includes therapy gyms and a therapeutic courtyard with amenities designed to get patients moving. The inpatient rehab hospital will work with patients suffering from stroke, traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, amputations, and other conditions.
Earl Swensson Architects of Nashville designed the hospital, while JE Dunn of Kansas City was the general contractor.
The Sanders Trust was selected as the owner and developer of the project, a joint venture between healthcare service providers Dignity Health and Lifepoint Health. The company develops and acquires medical office buildings and healthcare facilities, and has developed or acquired properties in 30 states.
“The Sanders Trust is committed to the communities we serve and proud to be selected as the developer for this outstanding facility in Arizona,” President and CEO Rance Sanders said. “It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with these well-respected service providers as they continue helping those in need throughout the Gilbert community.”
